Day 3 - DIIGO & You Tube
I dig Diigo! I hope Diigo sticks around so I will have a repository for all of the various links I like to use in my classrooms for connecting business, management and marketing content to current events.
Now that I know how easy it is to upload a video to You Tube, I may start a new career, educational movie producer! Check out my new little video on 5 Easy Tools - Vado Camera.
Thanks Brent and Les for a great Day 3!

Day 2 - Twittersphere!
I have been on Twitter for a few years, but have not yet gotten addicted. I do like getting brief, focused messages and hearing from friends and colleagues about what they want to share. I have not yet been much of a Tweeter, but might start sharing more.
Hootsuite is a hoot! It can certainly make it easier to stay connected to multiple social media sites, which may prompt me to invest more time using them.
In the classroom I might use Twitter to set up a hashtag for a guest speaker, then have students post questions for the speaker. I can then share the hashtag with the speaker who can address the students' questions during the presentation. Another function I might use is a list for a class, then I can easily view all the posts from students in a class. These functions will work only if students have a Twitter account.
Thanks Brent for helping us master more of the Twittersphere.

Mastering Twitter
Using Twitter I found #Airlines that directed me to @hawaiianair, @southwestair and @AmericanAir. I can watch Hawaiian's expansion, get informed of Southwest's launch to Hawaii and American's bankruptcy proceedings as the companies tweet about these topics. Maybe I'll plan a vacation!
I also found #USC which led me to @USCAlumni where I can stay connected to my alma mater.
Then I searched using 'online learning' which led me to @WorldWideLearn, and found a resource where I might find an online PhD program.
Finally, I decided to check out my own college to see what Kathleen's been up to lately, and was pleased to find @LCCweb, hmm...I thought we didn't use LCC anymore. I found postings about L'ulu, @Disney_Aulani and @nonstophonolulu, the latter of which is also followed by a few of my followers, so I decided to add @nonstophonolulu to my list.
Thanks Brent.

Management Curriculum Blogging
This might be a good tool to hit students up with current hot topics, such as how to watch the POTUS inagural speech, or a special television program on COSTCO or Coca Cola. It also might be a good place to stress blogging etiquette. Is there such a thing?
Day 1 of 5 Easy Tools . .
The Business Division was well represented! Accounting Instructor Tina Lee and I researched our 'web presence'. Then under the expert guidance of Brent Hirata we launched our blogspots. We hope you enjoy them!
